Policy & Contract Documents

Establishing robust policies and agreements is critical to ensuring that subcontractors fully understand and adhere to the standards required for EV recovery operations. A well-structured policy provides clear guidelines on qualifications, safety protocols, and environmental responsibilities, while comprehensive contracts formalize these expectations and protect all parties involved.

Key recommendations include:

Develop a Subcontractor Policy Document
• Outline the minimum qualifications, certifications, and EV-specific training required for subcontractors.
• Clearly define expectations for safety, including adherence to high-voltage protocols
and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Address environmental responsibilities, emphasizing proper handling of spills,
battery leaks, and waste disposal.
Prepare a formal Contractor Agreement
• Clauses requiring EV-specific training and compliance with all safety standards.
• Provisions outlining liability for damages, non-compliance, or breaches of safety protocols.
• Clear financial terms, specifying payment structures and costs for services rendered.
These agreements provide legal and operational clarity, ensuring subcontractors are contractually bound to meet the company’s expectations and standards.
